Partnership at EFNI 2025

The European Forum for New Ideas (EFNI) is one of the most important public debate events in Poland – a mirror reflecting key economic and social issues, and a meeting place for leaders from business, academia, politics, and culture. It is a melting pot of inspiration, a space for the clash of ideas, and an encounter with innovation and passionate advocates of social, economic, and cultural life.

That is why EFNI is a natural venue for responsible discussions on public health – the prevention of lifestyle diseases, obesity reduction, and the diagnosis and treatment of obesity, which already affects 9 million Poles.

This year, we invite you to our panel discussion “Unhealthily Disappointed. How to Get the Couch Civilization Moving?”, which will take place on October 16, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. The panel will be moderated by Marta Pawłowska, MBA, Chair of the Partnership Presidium.

Among the speakers will be, among others, Dr. Małgorzata Gałązka-Sobotka, Dean of the Postgraduate Education Center at Łazarski University and Director of the Institute of Healthcare Management.

Together with distinguished experts, we will develop and promote actions that foster a healthier everyday life for Poles – including regular physical activity, spontaneous movement, and sports. The discussion will focus on the lifestyle of Poles, which lies at the root of the epidemic of overweight and obesity.

Last year, the Partnership hosted the panel “Obesity as the New Normal? Global Lessons, Polish Takeaways”, during which we presented the Strategic Plan for Obesity Reduction in Poland – the Partnership’s key program document.

The Partnership’s presence at EFNI is proof that public health and the fight against obesity have permanently entered the mainstream of social and economic debate in Poland.
